Robert Mullally of Columbus died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Visitation is on Monday from 5-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a 7:00 pm Vigil, also at the funeral home. Visitation continues on Tuesday morning from 8:30 -10:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Columbus Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post # 84, American Legion Honor Guard. Robert Gerrard Mullally was born December 5, 1951 in Columbus, Nebraska to Francis Leo and Agnes Ella (Branigan) Mullally. He grew up in North Bend and graduated from North Bend High School. In 1971 he entered the US Army. Bob served during the Vietnam Era in Germany until his discharge in 1974. He returned to Nebraska where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Bob owned and operated donut shops in Blair and Omaha. He settled in the Columbus/Duncan area where he worked for Eller's, B-D's, and after retirement, at Casey's. Bob was active at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan where he was on the parish council and involved in youth groups. After moving to Columbus, Bob became a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Church. On May 7, 1988, Bob was united in marriage to Lisa Brown starting a blended family of 4 children. As a youth, Bob earned the rank of Eagle Scout and shared his love of the outdoors with his family through camping, swimming, and kayaking. He was an avid do it yourselfer always starting updates to his home. However, everything came second to spending time with his family. He is survived by: Wife Lisa Mullally of Columbus Daughter Shauna (Angel Salazar) Mullally of Omaha Son Rory (Mikki) Mullally of Blair Son Eric (Beatriz) Mullally of Columbus Daughter Megan (Josh) Zehr of Columbus 6 Grandchildren: Landon, Reiland, Emely, Wyatt, Ella, and Eli Brother Jim (Marlene) Mullally of Fremont Sister Sharon (Dan) Strecker of Central City Sister-in-law Deb Mullally of North Bend Sister Micki Walker of Lincoln Sister Jean (Vaughn) Kinney of Brush, CO Step-Brother Gary (Marge) Desler of Florida Step-Brother David (Mike) Desler of California He is preceded in death by: Parents Francis and Agnes Mullally Step-Mother Pat Mullally Brother Jack Mullally Brother-in-law Phil Walker
