Bio

Audrey "Mimi" Oliphint, 90, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 31. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. Alan Williamson, chaplain of Ware Memorial Care Center, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Oliphint was born in Phillips, Okla. She married W.A. Oliphint in 1928 at Fitzhugh, Okla. They moved to Amarillo in 1942. She worked for several retail clothing stores in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; a son, Don L. Oliphint in 1988; and a grandson, Jamie Wright in 1977. All her family and friends will miss those wonderful cakes she used to bake. Survivors include a daughter, Dee and husband Harry Waugh of Amarillo; grandchildren, Keely and Mark O'Neal of Amarillo, Devin Oliphint of Florida, Kevin Oliphint of Amarillo, Ken Waugh of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mark and Kathy Waugh of Sante Fe, N.M.; and six great-grandchildren. The family will be at 7700 Tripp. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe April 1, 2001
