Luchsinger Sr., 70, of Rt. 1, Columbus. The retired farmer died Wednesday at Lutheran Medical Center in Omaha. Officiating at the rites will be Rev. John McGee, with burial in Columbus Cemetery. Visitation continues until noon Friday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel; 1-2 p.m. at church. Lifetime resident of Platte County, Mr. Luchsinger was born July 3, 1905 to Peter and Emma (Ernst) Luchsinger and attended District 80 school. On Jan. 22, 1930 he married Melinda Durkop at the Evangelical and Reformed Church, Columbus, now St. Luke Church. He was a member of that congregation. Surviving are his wife; sons, Paul W. and David P.; granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel Luchsinger; brothers, Ernst and Sam, all of Columbus; three sisters, Elisa Luchsinger and Mrs. Alfred (Ida) Rodehorst of Columbus and Mrs. Henry (Anna) Durkop of Creston. His parents and brother, Franz, are deceased.
