THE PARIS NEWS, 11 Mar 1990. 'Roena Lancaster, 49, of Enloe died Friday, 9 Mar 1990, at Medical City Hospital, Dallas. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, 11 Mar, in the Enloe Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Bethea officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Paris by McClanahan and Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Lancaster was born 8 Sep 1940, in Caddo, Okla., a daughter of James Allen Winnie and Roena Pauline Winnie. She married Gene Lancaster in 1971. She had lived in Enloe since 1983 where she owned and operated a grocery store. She was a member of the Enloe Baptist Church and was a former member of Springlake Baptist Church in Paris. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Brenda Eudy of Mesquite and Cindy Smith of Lewisville; her step-father, James H. Patterson of Enloe; three stepchildren, Ronnie Robbins of Austin, David Lancaster of Mesquite and Pamela Kerr of Spendora; two grandchildren; four step grandchildren; three brothers, Maury Winnie of Enloe, James Patterson of Campbell and Johnny Patterson of Cunningham; and a sister, Jane James of Hurst.
