Catherine Stander was born August 2, 1929, to Joseph and Mary (Blaha) Vacek in Omaha, Nebraska. She died Thursday, May 9th at home surrounded by family in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 9 months, and 7 days. Catherine married Harold Andrew Stander in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 6, 1950, and to this union they raised six children Mary, Kathleen, John, Harold Jr., Martin, and Daniel. She worked for Pamida in payroll for over 20+ years. Catherine was a member at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for over 69 years, a member of the Altar Society. She loved her grandchildren and working in the yard, flowers, mowing, whatever needed done. Catherine is survived by her daughters Mary Stander, of Omaha, NE, Kathleen (Daniel) Jordan, of Louisville, NE sons John (Nancy) of Waverly, NE, Harold Jr. (Kathleen) of Kansas City, KS, Martin (Mary), of Green Castle, PA, Daniel (Pam), Omaha, NE, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and caregiver Sbeidy Lopez Preceded in Death by her parents, husband Harold Andrew, brothers Ray, Joe, Jimmy, and sister Marie
