Bio

Surrounded by his family, Billy Wayne Hauk met his Savior and made his journey to Heaven on May 5, 2019 at the age of 68. He was born September 12, 1950, the son of Pauline and Willie Hauk. He married Judy Lemonds Overton on October 17, 1990 and they enjoyed 28 years together. Billy graduated from Bokchito High School in 1968. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University for 1 year and then decided to join his dad on the family farm. He loved his country and served in the US Army. Through the years, he enjoyed farming and briefly owned a grocery store in Colbert. He spent many of his later years driving a big 18-wheeler. Billy’s greatest joy in life was his son, Aaron as well as spending time with his family. He loved to cook and share his culinary skills with others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Pauline Hauk. Billy is survived by his wife, Judy of the home, son, Aaron Hauk of Calera, Oklahoma, sister, Patricia Carter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughter, Shelley Allen and husband Chris, Durant, Oklahoma, son, Mike Overton and wife Dana, Durant, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, numerous cousins and extended family and friends. A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Pastor Darel Bunch officiating. His final resting place will be at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma.
