Bio

Reverend William Leslie Ezell, 86, of the Siloam community, died Friday, December 13, at Rush-Hill Hospital in York. Services were held the following Sunday at 2 P.M. from the Siloam Baptist Church, where the deceased served a 20 year pastorate from 1930-1943 and 1952-1959. Those officiating were: Rev. Billy Pope, Rev. Charles Card, Rev. John Higdon, Rev. Louis Wilson and the Rev. Warren Rodgers. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Maurine Keene Ezell of York; son Jack Ezell and wife Kay of Tuscaloosa; daughter Batty Jo Leuders and husband Tom of Fair Fax, Virginia; daughter Jean Belcher and husband Fred of San Diego, California; brother John Ezell of Ward; sister Maggie Mae Moody of York; six grandchildren; Wanda, Tonja, Chad, Tiffanie, Amy and Tommy.
