Bio

Funeral service for Mrs. Bobbie Nell Maples, 90, of Big Sandy, will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Croley Funeral Home of Hawkins with Bro. Tunnell officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel in Hawkins. She was born on July 16, 1928 in Vernon, Texas to David Tucker and Novella Agan Tucker. On March 17, 1945, in Old Trap, North Carolina, Bobbie married Earnest Maples, Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Hawkins. Mrs. Maples is survived by her sons, Earnest “Ernie” Maples III, David Maples and his wife, Jackie; sister, Doris Tucker; four grandchildren, Earnest “ Lee” Maples IV, Crystal Bohannan, Jonathan Stubbs and Blake Maples; three great grandchildren, Caiden Stubbs, Kennedy Bohannan and Presley Bohannan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest Maples, Jr. in 2018, and sister, Pauline Wilson. Arrangements by Croley Funeral Home, Hawkins.
