Bio

Joyce Mae Forrester, 78, passed away on June 2, 2017, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital. Joyce was born in Lake Charles and worked as an IBM operator at the First National Bank. Joyce was also a member at the First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. She was a graduate of Reeves High School and attended McNeese University. Joyce was also a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a secretary for Louisiana State PTA. Joyce loved to spend time at her second home at Toledo Bend and enjoyed fishing at the lake and spending time with her family and friends. Joyce is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wayne Forrester of Moss Bluff; three sons, Barry and wife Alma of Fort Worth Texas, Mark and wife Paula of DeQuincy and Kent and wife Megan of Ragley, La.; one sister, Betty Fleury of Chloe, La.; seven grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017, from 5–9 p.m. and will resume at 9 a.m. until time of service Monday. Service will be held on Monday, June 5, at Hixson Moss Bluff Chapel at 1 p.m. The Rev. Francis LaRocque and The Rev. James Rivers will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Creel Cemetery at Camp Pearl.
