Eunice "Carolyn" Pannell, 76, of Florence , Texas, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, at The Pflugerville Health Care Center, Pflugerville, Texas. Carolyn was born December 2, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Eunice Ancil Pannell and Arrie Lorene Armitage. Carolyn spent 48 years of her working life in the Nursing field. Her passion was Nursing. She earned her LVN Certificate in 1966. At the age of 50, she returned to school and earned her RN Degree in 1990. Her nursing career spanned many areas; Private Practices, VA Hospitals, Army Base Hospitals, Long Term Care Facilities, Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities, Industrial Nursing, and lastly, as a School Nurse. She spent the majority of her career in Texas, with stops along the way in Kansas and Arizona. Carolyn is survived by her children, and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Adams, her parents, her brother, Benny Pannell and son-in-law Ed Bolton. Per Carolyn's wishes, a cremation has been performed. Graveside services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial contributions be made to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital or Autism Speaks.
