Bio
Clayton W. Hislop, 85, died peacefully at his home June 4, 2007. He was born to Warren Hislop and Vada Workman in Carson City, Nevada. He married Lorine Duffin in Lovelock, Nevada in 1977. Clayton served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked at Dowell for many years as a mechanic in which he retired from. Clayton loved to be around and support his grandchildren throughout their activities and lives. He also loved to peasant hunt and help others mechanic. Clayton is survived by son Glen Hislop(JoAnn); step-sons, Jack Burr(Marian), Bob Burr(Elena); grandchildren, Jerry Hislop(Bitsy), Nicci Kempton(Jeromy); along with two great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife, Lorine Hislop; sisters, Mona Lee and Marquirta Caldwell; and step-grandsons, Mark and Tony Burr. Graveside services will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery Thursday, June 7 at 11 a.m. Military honors will be provided by American legion Posts11 and 124. Interment under the direction of Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
