Pauline Wolff, 79, of Howells died Sunday, June 15, 2003, at Bryan LGH East Medical Center in Lincoln. Pauline was born December 10, 1923, in Cuming County, north of Howells, a daughter of Theodore and Barbara (Schafers) Schlautman. She attended rural District 51 School. She married John Wolff on April 18, 1944, in rural Howells. She worked in the laundry department at Schuyler Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, a charter member of Spicy Farmerettess extension club, Harold's Square square dance club and was a 4-H leader. Survivors include: her husband; a son, Gene (and wife, Judy) Wolff of Howells; three daughters, Jan (Mrs. LeRoy) Gall of Schuyler, Cindy (Mrs. Duane) Brester of Dodge and Deb (Mrs. Marvin Jr.) Indra of Howells; two brothers, Richard Schlautman of Howells and Henry Schlautman of Dodge; two sisters, Theresa Wellman of Dodge and Rose Wolff of Howells; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells with the Rev. Paul Ortmeier officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday, all at the church. A Christian Mother's rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Wednesday and a Parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, both at the church. Burial will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
