Bio

Nelson Franklin Saage, 24, died Saturday, August 17, in an automobile accident near San Antonio. In the car with Nelson was Barbara Ann Boudny of Austin who also died. Nelson was born November 8, 1932 in Thrall, TX. He was a graduate of Thrall High School. He was employed in Austin at the University of Texas and was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. Survivors include his father, Otto C. Saage of Phoenix, AR.; mother, Alma Saage of Thrall; sister, Hazel Kramer of Austin; brothers, Ernest O. Saage of Houston, Alton A. Saage of Beeville, Leroy Saage of Louisville, KY.; and 2 nieces and 4 nephews. Pall bearers were: Billie Kovar, Luther Herber>, John Herzer, Clifford Mahlow, Lester Bartz and Victor Fraze. Services were held Tuesday, August 20th at 3:00 p.m. at the Condra Memorial Chapel, burial in the Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. E. Herber officiating.
