Ramona Dowding, 86, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born August 26, 1932 in Smith Center, KS. Moving to Yukon in 1959, Ramona worked at Western Electric, worked as a waitress for her best friend Frances G. and was a cook at Yukon Public Schools. While raising six kids, who all attended St. John’s Grade School, she spent many hours helping in the kitchen, classroom and going on field trips. When she drove, her kids always had priority seat in the car! Ramona was a loving, dedicated, selfless wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and Godmother, who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and one son-in-law. Ramona is survived by her husband, Donald of 66 years; children: Theresa Short (R.B.), Maria Dowding Goodwyn (Ben), Linda Penny, David Dowding (Rennie), Danny Dowding (Tammy) and LaDonna Wilson (Barry); 10 grandkids; 11 great-grandkids; three brothers and one sister. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 9 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church Chapel, Yukon, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery
