Emma Marie Rochen Svoboda, 85, of Wallis, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness.She was born on October 17, 1933 in Waller, TX to the late Raymond R Rochen Sr. and Stazie Hajek Rochen.She was married to the late Adolph Svoboda Jr, October 16, 1966 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Frydek, TX.Emma was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and KJZT. She was also a member and officer of several Bowling Leagues. She attended several Chevrolet conferences and earned many Rewards of Excellence.Emma was raised in the Waller Area and graduated from Blinn College with an Associates' Degree in Education. Emma started her career as a school teacher in Westley, TX. She then moved to the automobile industry at Miller Motor Co in Katy, TX then transferred to Fiesta Chevrolet in Wharton, TX which later became Don Elliott Autoworld. She was Office Manager there until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and traveling. Her love for bowling took her across the country on all sorts of league competitions on the State and National levels.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edwin Rochen and Raymond R Rochen Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Albina Rochen Hundl and husband Wilbert C Hundl Sr, Ann Rochen Mazoch and husband Ivan Mazoch Jr. She had numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.Pallbearers: Paul Hundl, Julius Hundl, Jake Stapper, Dustin Zahn, Joshua Gary, Jody Kalinowski. Honorary Pallbearers: All nieces and nephews.READ LESSON Sunday, March 31, 2019. There will be a visitation at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church, from 2:00 p.m.- 3 :00 P.M at 5518 Demel Street, Wallis, Texas 77483.There will be a Rosary held at the same location on Sunday, March 31, 2019 AT 3:00 p.m.-3:30 P.M. at the church'A Funeral Mass will be conducted at The Guardian Angel Catholic Church on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m.at The Guardian Angle Cemetery.Emma lived to be 85 years, 5 months and 10 days old.
