Bio
Funeral services for Liddie Nerren, 82, of Central, will be held March 24, 2019 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Nerren was born to the late Dora Alice (Nobles) and Jim Crowder Dixon. She died in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Nerren was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She graduated from Central High School and Massey Business School, and retired from TxDOT following 32 years of employment. Mrs. Nerren was a member of Grace Baptist Church (Clawson Baptist when she joined) for most of her life. She sang in the choir and directed the children’s choir for many years, and was always very active in the church until recent years. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Dixie and David Haskins, Randy and Sabrina Nerren, and Lisa and George Owens; several grandchildren and their spouses; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Parker; sisters-in-law, Yonnie Dixon, Georgia Helen Palmore, and Jackie Parker; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Wayne Nerren on January 1, 2019; grandson, Dakota Shane Nerren; great-granddaughter, Zoe Grace Trevino; and five siblings.
