Bio

married James Linder ∼ In May of 1944, Georgia Mikeska married James Linder Fleming, Jr. in Temple, Bell County, Texas. He was a pilot in the USAF during World War II gaining the rank of 1st Lt. After the war, they settled in Florida where he studied for the law and gave flight instructions. He was killed during a training flight with a student in Waycross, Georgia on September 16, 1951. Georgia returned to Temple to be near her parents because she was expecting their first child (Linda) who was born on April 1, 1952. Georgia Mikeska Fleming married Bert Thomas Biery on May 13, 1961 at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple, Bell County, Texas. He was a widower with two children, Thomas Gibbs Biery and Pamela Ann Biery. Georgia and Bert counter adopted each other’s children.
