Resolutions of Respect (Cumby Rustler, Friday, January 5, 1912, pg. 1) To the officers and members of Miller Grove Camp No. 970 W.O.W.- Esteemed Sovereigns- We your committee to whom was assigned the privilege of drafting resolutions suitable to the memory of our esteemed by now deceased sovereign, C.M. Corbet, beg to submit the following, That, Whereas-the Great Creator of the Universe has in His wisdom seen proper to remove by death from our midst and the councils of our camp, therefore be it resolved, That in the death of Sovereign C.M. Corbet our camp has sustained the loss of one of its most worthy members, one whose life as a Woodman is worthy of emulation, one whose sympathetic heart always responded to the calls of the needy and the distressed. That the church has lost a member who delighted in her prosperity and the advancement of the kingdom of Jesus Christ in the world. That our community has lost an exemplary citizen of high ideals and lofty ambitions. That the family has lost a true and devoted husband and a kind and loving father. That after we bow in humble submission to the will of a loving Heavenly Father: that we tender to the bereaved companion and orphaned children, brothers, sisters and relatives, our ___ and sympathy in this hour of bereavement and deep sorrow. That a page of our minutes be dedicated to the memory of our deceased sovereign and a copy be furnished the family and also a copy be sent the Cumby Rustler and Sovereign Visitor with request to publish.
