Burkburnett Informer Star - April 26, 2007 Vergie Hodge, 83, of Burkburnett, TX died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at her residence in Burkburnett. She was born Sept. 17, 1923 in Wortham, TX. Funeral services were at the graveside on Tues., April 24, 2007 with Rev. Bill Liggett, Pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Interment was in the Burkburnett Cemetery. A resident of Burkburnett since 1954, Mrs. Hodge was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was married to Frank Hodge on Jan. 2, 1943. Survivors include her husband, Frank Hodge of Burkburnett; daughter, Angelia Gibbs and husband, Jeff, of Iowa Park; sons, Melvin E. Hodge of Burkburnett and Frank M. Hodge, Jr. of Spicewood, TX; sister, Margaret Andrews of Hobbs, NM; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
