Caroline was the daughter of George Eyler & Lucinda Margaret Sprankle. She married George Harsh on 24 Apr 1873 in Lanark, Carroll Co., IL. Caroline's obituary in the Columbus Telegram included: "She is survived by three sons, John Harsh, of Mitchell, Neb., Will Harsh, of Monroe, and Lester Harsh, of Platte Center; one daughter, Mrs. Daisy Eyler, of Shelby; four brothers, M. L. Eyler, of Shelby, Oscar and John H. Eyler, of Torrington, Wyo., and W.S.B. Eyler, of Fullerton; one sister, Mrs. Susie Miller, of Beatrice, and 34 grandchildren. " Although not mentioned in the obituary, Caroline was predeceased by three daughters: Rosa Lucinda (Sargent); Ida F.; and Ethel Pearl (Miller, Willmschen). Her obituary includes that she was buried in the cemetery located "three miles north and three miles east of Shelby." Her husband is buried at Wesley Chapel. Wesley Chapel appears to be located a few miles north of Shelby but it looks as if it is west, not east. However the description in her obituary may be incorrect. One would think she'd be buried in the same cemetery as her husband.
