S SGT U.S. Army, World War II. Purple Heart. Obituary Dallas Morning News Apr. 1, 2004 Joe E. Cavasar, 84. went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2004, following a lengthly illness due to an automobile accident. A registered surveyor retired from business in Dallas and moved to Blooming Grove in the early 70s. A highly decorated Veteran serving in the U.S Army during World War II in the 36th Infantry Division. Preceded in death by his son, Wylie Long Cavasar. We had lived in Irving for the last six months with his daughter. Survived by his daughter & son in law: Linda & Carl Roberson, Irving, Grandsons; Lance & Todd Roberson. Dallas. Granddaughter: Jennifer Cavasar, Mesquite. Nine Great Grandchildren, Four Brothers & One Sister. Services will be held Friday, April 2, 2004 at 11:00 AM, WEST/HURTT FUNERAL CHAPEL, with Bro. Grady Cashion & Rev. David Fortenbury, officiating. Interment will follow Monday, April 5, 2004 at 10:00 AM in. the Caraway Cemetery, Leesville, TX with Military Rites.
