Bio
Funeral services for Jerald Joe Cookston, 71, of Levelland will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2PM at the 5th Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. Family visitation will be on Friday, May 15, 2015, from 6-8PM at the George Price Funeral Home. Jerald was born July 3, 1943 in La Mesa, California to Joe Frank and Hazel Della (McMillan) Cookston. He married Linda K. Brooker on April 3, 1962 in Levelland, Texas. Jerald was a Sergeant in the US Army from 1961 to 1964. While in the Army, he received the Sharpshooter Award. After the Army, he farmed, was an oilfield pumper and a Walmart associate. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jerry and Joel.
