Shirley A. Spencer, 68, of Mart, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at her residence. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Don Davis officiating. Shirley was born Dec. 16, 1937, to Ocie W. and Flora (Higginbotham) Rogers in Comanche,Texas. She married Vernon Spencer April 14, 1953 in Waco. Shirley was employed at HEB Food Store for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her father; step father, Robert Endsley; a sister, Yvonne Saulters; mother-in-law, Maggie Ammons; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Davis. Survivors include her husband, Vernon Spencer; daughters, Cherrell and husband, Bobby Scott of Mart, Rhonda and husband, Tommy Thompson of Crawford; sisters,Marian Jean and husband, Speedy Thomas of Aquilla, Nona Mayberry of Elm Mott; brothers, Sonny and wife, Jean Rogers of Robinson, Roy and wife, Debbie Rogers of Waco, Kenneth and wife, Linda Rogers of Tow, Texas; mother, Flora Endsley of Elm Mott; grandchildren, Tommy Wooten , Shelly Wooten, Kelli and husband, Woody Turner, Steven Butler; great grandchildren, T. C., Dusti, Cameron, Joshua, Luke, Charli. Special Thanks to Hillcrest Hospice, Kathleen, Charlotte and Virginia.
