She had a son out of wedlock named John Wesley Ard his father was told to have died at sea with last name Grant.....John was raised by his grandparents George Washington Ard and Susan Abigail Barrow as their child.... Story is they ousted daughter Abigail to live with relatives in Alabama.... Wish I could have met her and give her sense of family support and legacy of remembrance as we have nothing but imagination...
