Bio

Margarette Malstrom, 84, of Missoula, passed away on Aug. 28, 2000, at Hillside Manor of natural causes. She was born on Jan. 23, 1916, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Frank and Lavina Richardson Hicks. She married Arthur Malstrom in Salt Lake City on Oct. 17, 1935. She lived in Kalispell from 1948 until 1963, and worked with her husband at Vogue Drycleaners. After 1963, the family relocated to Missoula where they have resided since. She enjoyed music, dancing, and outdoor recreational activities. She enjoyed time spent fulfilling church-related assignments and visiting with her family. Her parents, brother, and sister preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, of Missoula, two sons, Edward, of Rexburg, Idaho, and Sheri Brown of Bend, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3026 South Ave. West. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory.
