William M Coupens ,91, of Alliance, Nebraska , died Saturday at St. Joseph Gerantology Center. He was born March 2 1894 in Columbus, Nebraska and had lived in this area for 70 years. He was a farmer and later worked in the storehouse at the C.B. & Q Railroad. After retiring from the railroad, he served as the sexton at Calvary Cemetery. He married Agnes Riley in Alliance on November 27 1917. She preceded him in death in August 1967. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by two sons, Robert of Casper Wyoming and William Jr. of Cheyenne, Wyoming : two daughters, Madlyn Rusk of Alliance and Gertrude Fulmer of Longmont, Colorado; 12 grand, 29 great -grand and 11 great -great grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and funeral services will be held there Tuesday at 10am. The Rev. Francis T. Curran will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will recited at 7:30pm today at Bates-Landa Chapel. Memorials may be given to the Calvary Cemetery Fund
