Bio

Lillie was born at Ft. McKavett when it was a frontier fort as a protection against Indians. It is now a state Historic Site. After the Civil War her father ran the mail station as the head post master of the Concho mail station at Ft. Concho (now called Ft. McKavett in Bexar County (now Menard County), Texas.
