Services for Johnnie M. Nix, 83, of Amarillo will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Ballard, a Baptist minister, officiating. Entombment will be in Resthaven Mausoleum under direction of Sanders Funeral Home. She died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, in Ware Memorial Care Center in Amarillo. She was born April 24, 1914, in Oklahoma. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended West Texas College. She married Fred Nix on April 24, 1939, in Earth. He died in May 1984. She moved to Lubbock in 1947. She was a member of the Eastern Star and First Baptist Church. She taught school in Springlake.
