Charlotte Reichart Marek February 5, 1935 ~ February 2, 2019 Charlotte Marek, 83, of Peneolope, passed away on February 2, 2019 in Waco. She was born February 5, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland to Louis Joseph Reichart Sr. and Elizabeth Frances (Hoerner) Reichart. She grew up in Baltimore and met her husband while he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. On June 9, 1956 she was united in marriage with Edward R. Marek and he preceded her death on September 20, 1999. She enjoyed the life of a military wife while her husband served his country. After his service, in 1973 they moved back to Penelope and have lived there ever since. She loved to build puzzles and was an avid quilter and made quilt tops for the “Love Thy Baby” organization which she referred to as “babies R us.” When she was able she enjoyed working outdoors and taking care of her flowers and garden and watching the birds and rabbits. Preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Diana Lynn Beeson; a son, Ronald August Marek; a son-in-law, Daniel Atkins; four brothers, John Henry, Louis Joseph, Jr., William Hoerner and Paul James Reichart; a sister, Mary Frances Reichart Johnston and brothers-in-law, Henry Marek, William Marek and Harold Schilling. Survivors include her children, Patricia and Paula, 5 grand children, 15 great-grand children, 2 great-great-grand children and 2 great-great-grand children, sisters, Elizabeth Ann Reichart Nickles and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held February 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Penelope. M_M
