Bio
Anita Streit, age 65 passed away on January 15, 2019 at her home north of Electra, Texas. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on February 2, 2019 at Western Trail Cowboy Church 13406 Highway 70 South Vernon, TX 76384. The family will be accepting friends for visitation from 7- 8 pm on February 1, 2019 at Compassion Church 2014 Kemp Blvd. Wichita Falls, TX 76309. She was born on March 23, 1953 in Madisonville, Texas to the late Thurston and Dorothy Wilson. Anita graduated from Madisonville High School and attended Sam Houston University. Anita married the love of her life, George Lee Streit on September 5, 1972. She graduated from Midwestern State University. As a teacher she dedicated twenty years to public education and retired four years ago. She enjoyed living in the country, painting, and spending time with family and friends. A longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Clara and recently became part of the family of Western Trail Cowboy Church. She is survived by her daughter Angela Morgan and fiancé Scott Parker of Wichita Falls, TX; her son Kyle Streit and wife Bobbie of Electra, TX; grandsons Weston and Cache Streit, and several nieces, nephews, in laws and cousins. Husband George Lee Streit, sister Sharron Elayne Wilson, and son-in-law Thomas Morgan preceded her in death. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to American Cancer Society.
