Bio
Rassie Edward Barker went home to his heavenly father on January 17, 2019 in McKinney, Texas. He was born November 18, 1924 in Farmersville, Texas to Arlie and Maggie VanBevers Barker. He married Daisy Riddle in 1948 in Greenville, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas. Mr. Barker was the Past Master of the Farmersville I.O. O. F. Lodge, Farmersville Ex Students Association, Farmersville High School Hall of Fame Induction 2018, and Farmersville Masonic Lodge. He also served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He is survived by daughter, Trena Stunkel of Plano, Texas and son, Ronnie Barker and wife Mary of Plano, Texas; grandchildren; Jacqueline Henderson and Trent Boydstun; six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas, with Dr. Bart Barber officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, Ronald McDonald House or The First Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas.
