HYDE, Elijah S. of Houston. Age 61. Died 9/14/1974 (Wed.) in a Houston hospital. Services held (Friday) from Sattegast-Kopf Funeral Home in Houston followed by services (Sat.) at Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. E. Herber officiated. He was born 10/20/1912 in Thorndale, and lived in Houston for the past 30 yrs., where he was an employee of United Gas Co. of Houston. Member of the Methodist Church. SURVIVORS; Wife, Norma Wolf Hyde of Houston; daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Minnick of Houston; 3 sisters, Mrs. Glennie Lankford of Lubbock, Mrs. Carmen Shine of Thorndale, and Mrs. Gwendolyn Gilmore of Goodland, KS.; 3 brothers, W.T. Hyde and J.W. Hyde of Galena Park and J.L. Hyde of Plains.
