Bio

Alice Simcik Schwenke, age 84, passed away Friday Oct. 5, 2012. A visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Saturday Oct. 13, at Condra Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday Oct. 14, at Taylor Brethren Church. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Frank Simcik. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Taylor Brethren Church in Taylor. * * * * Waco Times-Herald: 10/12/2012 Alice was born in Granger, Texas, on May 6, 1928, to John and Agnes Gorubec. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Simcik on March 29, 1971; husband, Philip Schwenke on Dec. 3, 2000; one son; one son-in-law; one grandson; and one sister. She is survived by her five children including Clarence and Pat Simcik of Robinson; five step-children; two sisters; 28 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
