It is with regret we announce the passing of Mr. Jimmie Norman Spear, age 86, of Liberty, NC. Jimmie was born on June 10, 1932 in Porter TX, to the late Lloyd and Ivey Mae Gassett Spear. He worked as a Park Ranger with the State of Tennessee before retirement. Mr. Spear passed away on December 20, 2018 at Lincoln Medical Center in Fayetteville, TN. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Doris “Dee” Thomas Brady Spear; children, Alan David (Marcy) Spear of Nashville, TN, Cynthia Carol (Ron) Stewart of Fayetteville, TN, Jamie (Rhiannon) Brady of Greensboro, NC, and Chris (DeAnne) Brady of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jana (Mac) Rogers, Karen “Catie” (David) Queener, Hannah Brady (Josh) Littlefield, Mitchell Brady, and Maggie Mickle; and great-grandchildren, Knox Rogers, Elijah Rogers, Anna Queener, and Joseph Queener. In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie Jean Spear in 1995; and several siblings. Private burial services are scheduled for a later date at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, Putnam County, TN. Higgins Funeral Home.
