Ernestine “Tina” Bruner was born to Ernest A. & Mary M. (Moczygemba) Krska in Edinburg, Texas on January 1, 1955. She joined her Lord and Savior on December 24, 2018 in Bulverde, Texas at the age of 63. She was preceded in death by parents. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ronald D. Bruner of Bulverde, Texas; son, Ryan Bruner & wife Kristin of Severn, Maryland; step-daughter, Shannon Smith & Husband TY of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Carson Bruner, Weston Bruner and Everson Smith; sisters, Peggy Hall & husband John of Austin, Texas and Joyce Alblinger & husband Steve of New Braunfels, Texas. Tina loved and lived life through the simple pleasures; having long talks with friends and family about any imaginable topic or sitting in stands to support her kids in their athletics and various endeavors. Her quick wit and humor would lighten any room she entered and leave a lasting impression on those she met. As the youngest of three sisters, her ability to adapt was critical and when all three were together for holidays or family functions, joyous laughter and chaos would ensue. In retirement, Tina enjoyed living life to the fullest by traveling the country with her husband and sweet tea or staying up to date at home on her telenovelas. As a loving grandmother, Mamaw’s destination of choice was wherever her grandchildren were located. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and nobody could keep her from seeing them. Tina had a passion for life, fought hard every day through difficulties and was determined to make the most of every moment possible. The family will continue to live in her legacy until we shall all see each other again. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels, Texas. A procession will follow service to Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery for burial. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation at www.lupus.org.
