Edward John Moravec, 83, of Bee, died Saturday, August 11, in David City. He was born in Seward county on May 9, 1901, to Joseph and Mary Milacek Moravec. He formerly farmed and operated the Moravec Cash Store in Bee. He was a member of the Bee Volunteer Fire Department and a veteran of World War I. Since April, he had been a resident of David Place in David City. Survivors include his brother William, his sister Mrs. Rose Houska; stepsons Leonard and Richard Skoda; and step-daughter Dorothy Skoda. Services were Tuesday, August 14, at the Wood Bros. Chapel in Seward with the Rev. Clarence Reisdorff officiating. Burial and military graveside services followed at the Bee Catholic Cemetery.
