Occupation: Salesman JOHN R. FREDERICK MEDARYVILLE, Oct. 23.--(Special)--John F. Frederick, 78, native of this city, died this morning at his home in Valparaiso. Mr. Frederick was born here and married Elmira Harris. He was a member of the local Christian church, and while living here was manager of a hardware and grocery store. He moved to Valparaiso about 35 years ago. Surviving are the wife; three daughters: Grace, of Gary, Ruth, of Valparaiso, and Sadie, of Valparaiso; and four sons, Guy of Terre Haute, and Earl, George and Willard, of Valparaiso. Frederick were held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the home, 471 Ridgeland avenue, and at 2 p.m. at the First Christian church, Rev. C. M. Small officiating. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. Mrs. Bessie Brown Fisher sang two selections, with Mrs. Geraldine Blount at the organ. Pallbearers were Michael Gast, Floyd Brown, Joseph Horn, Edward Bluhm, Ford Horner, and William Sprately, the latter of Morocco, Ind. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.
