SWENSON, Thomas E. of 408 E. Salty St., Thorndale. Age 55. Died 4/25/1970 (Saturday) in a Galveston hospital. Services held in the Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. A.L. Cronk, pastor of 10th St. Methodist Church, Taylor, officiated. Condra Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born 6/10/1914 and was a caretaker of the Capitol grounds and the governor's mansion grounds in Austin for 26 years. Married to Beulah Ward, 2/15/1947. Member of the Methodist Church. SURVIVORS: Wife, Beulah Swenson of Thorndale; daughter, Mrs. Chesley Huff of Austin; step-daughter, Mrs. Margie King of Houston; son, Frank Swenson of Houston; 3 sisters, Mrs. Peter Martin; Mrs. Green Adams of Hutto and Mrs. Oakley Nelson of Taylor; 2 brothers, Joe Swenson of Taylor and Herbert L. Swenson of Providence, RI.; 4 grandchildren.
