The son of J H Davis and Ada Bickley. His father's name appears as John Huett Davis, James Huett Davis or simply J H Davis. Excerpt from obituary Chicago Tribune Sep 5, 1952 John Davis, late of 2057 W. Cullerton avenue, beloved husband of Nora, dear father of Barbara Jean, son of Ada Binkley, brother of Claude, Abbie Flowers, Evelyn Fitzpatrick, George, LeRoy, and Henry. Interment Arlington Cemetery. Note: Additional records indicate that his death was the result of a fall from a scaffold while painting.
