Funeral services for Mrs. Melver Cole Stanton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 12, 2018 at Christ Church, Oakdale, with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Stanton, 99, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in her residence with her loving family by her side. She loved gardening and working in her yard and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Flossie Cole; her husband, Arthur Stanton and two sisters, Rhodie and Gertie. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, Marvin Stanton and his wife, Betty Ann, of Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Belinda Stanton, of Elizabeth and Scott Stanton, of Elizabeth and four great grandchildren, Austin Vidrine, Tori Stanton, Danni Stanton and Kaysi Shae Stanton.
