Lashley Dies Suddenly BURLINGTON - Services for L. R. (Larey) Lashley, 57, a retired Army Colonel, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hulbush Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Mr. Lashley, who had lived at Rt. 1 Burlington for five years, died unexpectedly Saturday morning while traveling in Corning, Calif. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and had been awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Iron Cross on behalf of the King of Italy. He graduated from Kemper Military Academy in Boonville, Mo., and attended the University of Colorado. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1604 Mount Vernon and president of the Burlington Sportsmen's Club. Mr. Lashley is survived by the widow Alice and daughter, Mary Alice, at home; two sons, James of Los Angeles and Theodore in Wiesbaden, Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Weber of St. Louis and Mrs. Mildred Holmes of Longmount [Longmont], Colo., and a brother, Donald of Passaic, N. J.
