William Newsom married Elizabeth Sibert April 15, 1841, in Bartholomew Co., Indiana, and they were parents of two sons, Thomas Newsom and John F. Newsom. Elizabeth married twice more, Alpheus Wilhoyte (1846) and Josiah Horton (1856.) She was residing in Benton Co., Arkansas in 1880.
