Betty “Patsy” Jean Dyer, 88, of Fairfield, Texas, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018, at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation. Burial will be at Frost Cemetery. Betty was born June 12, 1930, in Malone, Texas, to the late William "Bill" M. and Elsie (Hennig) Muesse, where she was raised. She married Robert “R.C.” Carlisle Dyer on June 3, 1945. On May 6, 1947, R.C. returned home from being stationed in the Philippines just in time to welcome their first child Sandra on May 7, 1947. In 1948 they welcomed their first son Kenneth and in 1950 their second son Gary. R.C. and Betty moved to Fairfield, Texas in the 1970s. They owned and operated D&H Carpet until they closed it in the late1980s. Betty loved doing so many things from sewing, dancing, decorating, moving furniture, gardening, writing, dominoes, and reading her Bible. She absolutely loved flowers, all different colors, looking fancy and stuff. Betty was very proud of her family and loved everyone dearly, especially all the babies. She loved get-togethers, all the food, and the sweets; anytime with family was very special to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Dyer; a brother, James Muesse and his wife, Billie June; granddaughter, Pamela Armstrong; grandson, Kenny Dyer; son-in-law, Dalton Markwardt; and a great-grandson Michael Sanchez. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Markwardt, of Fairfield, Texas; sons, Kenneth Dyer and his wife, Sondra, of Corsicana, and Gary Dyer and his wife, Beverly, also of Corsicana; brother, Billy Muesse and his wife, Lemma, of Waco; grandchildren: Teresa Schmidt and her husband, Wesley, of Cuero, Texas, Scott Markwardt, of Fairfield, Kyle Markwardt and his wife, Chassidy, of Fairfield, Sonya Robinson, of Corsicana, Shannon Dyer and his wife, Shelley, of Corsicana, Heath Dyer and his wife, Stephanie, of Waxahachie, and Julie Hollingsworth and her husband, Hank, of Corsicana; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-granddaughter.
