Bio
Jessie Marie Harris Riddle was born to Walter Scott Harris and Edna May Harris on February 20, 1913. She married Richard Mack Riddle in 1952. She graduated from Frisco High School in 1930 and attended what is now The University of North Texas and started her teaching career in a three room school in Hackberry, and a small school of Lake for one year. The Lake School consolidated with Lewisville Schools. For five of the six years at Hackberry School she was the only teacher. Hackberry consolidated with the Little Elm School. In 1942 she began teaching in the Frisco ISD. She taught sixth and seventh grade history. She also served as principal for three years and taught third grade. She taught a total of 42 years. In September 2003 the Jessie Marie Riddle Elementary School in Frisco was dedicated in her honor. She was a dedicated teacher and remembered her students fondly. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a lifetime member of the PTA.
