Bio
Carletta Michel, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at Grand Island Lakeview LLC. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec 4, at 11 a.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna following the service. Carletta was born on July 9, 1935, to Carl and Evelyn (Lux) Stark. She was raised and received her education in Ravenna. After high school, she attended beauty school in York. She was married to Donavone Michel for 20 years, and together they had four children. Carletta retired from the Veterans Home after 23 years of service as a nursing assistant. She enjoyed reading and, at one time, donated 750 books to the Grand Island Library after she read them. She loved watching westerns and spending time with her family. Those that will forever cherish her memory are her children, Billy Carl (Marilyn) Michel, Sherry (Tommy) Muller, Cindy (Sam) Irvine, Danny Michel; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Carletta was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Stark; and one great-grandchild, Rory Vaught.
