Anna Marie Chumchal., 86, of Pledger, TX passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at a long-term care facility in Wharton following a chronic illness. She was born on June 3, 1932 in Poth, Texas to the late Raymond Christian Albert, Sr and Hedwig Gerhardt Albert. Anna Marie was raised in the Poth area and graduated from Poth High school. She married Lanier in July of 1967 At St. John's Lutheran Church in Wharton. She graduated from Texas Lutheran University and worked for 38 years as a beloved school teacher. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, Sons of Hermann, Amicable, a 50 year member of Beta Sigma Pi, and a 20 year member of Delta Capa Gama. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dancing. She spent time doing arts and crafts projects. Anna Marie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lanier of Pledger; brother: Raymond Christian Albert, Jr. and wife, Edith of Boling; niece: Cheryl Lynn Rodgers and husband, Mark; nephews: Raymond L Albert and wife, Donna of Boling and Howard W Albert and wife, Sonia of Boling; great niece: Christina Rodgers, Jenna Rodgers, Carly Albert and Skylar Albert; great nephews: Jarred Rodgers Hayden Albert and Tate Albert; along with many great great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Rodgers officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
