E.Y. Jennings, 78, moved to Texas in 1875 and in a few years settled in Stephens County. He was a school teacher on his arrival and held classes in a number of rural school in Eastland County and Stephens County. In 1880, he married Miss Modena Veale. To this union 15 children were born, 12 are still living. Mr. Jennings lived on his farm, nine miles north of Ranger, across the Eastland-Stephens County line until 1920 when he moved to Ranger, Texas making his home on the corner of Mesquite and South Marston Streets. Survived by four sons; eight daughters. Services were held at the cemetery officiated by Rev. Taylor, Rev. Merriman, Rev. George W. Shearer.
