HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. — Richard Nelson, 87, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2018. Born Sept. 7, 1931, in Nebraska, a son of Harold James Nelson and Fern Lucille Witt, Dick served in the U.S. Navy, graduated from the University of Nebraska and spent his career at Packard Electric, General Motors, in Warren and in Jackson, Miss. “Nellie” married Edna Frieda Lammers on March 7, 1957, and was a devoted husband and father. Edna preceded him in death in 2004. He was an inspiration to his children, Karen (Dieter) Lehnert, Mark (Andrya) Nelson and Grant (Erin) Nelson. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kristin (Chris) Lehnert, Kimberly (Eric) Boye, J.D. (Erica) Lehnert, Lucas, Matthew and Jacob Nelson, and Amanda (Larry) Koser and Adam (Michelle) Wood. He will be watching over great-grandchildren Charlotte and Cameron Toulouse, and Eliana Wood. He is greatly missed by his close friend and companion, Mary Beth Gray. A private service and interment will be held Nov. 28, 2018, at Cedar Vale Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
