Bio

Mrs. Wanda Gordon passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at the Mexia Nursing Home. She was born in Teague and graduated from Teague High School. Mrs. Gordon worked as a commercial bank teller for forty-seven years in Houston before returning to Teague in 1995. She was also a dedicated homemaker for over forty-seven years to her husband, Henry Gordon. Mrs. Gordon had lived with her daughter since her husband’s death in 1997. She is survived by one daughter, Shelley Cochrum; two granddaughters, Natalie Stephenson and Courtney Cochrum; one grandson, Travis Cochrum; one great-grandson, Logan Calverley; one brother, Wesley Shelley; all of Teague. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Gertrude Lamberth Shelley; and her husband, Henry Gordon. A private burial was held on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at Fairfield Cemetery.
