OKLAHOMA CITY Quarles, Bonnie Jane, 87, died Nov. 18. Services 2 p.m. Friday (John M. Ireland , Moore). Published in The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wednesday, November 21, 2018, Page 6A. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bonnie Jane Quarles, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2018. Bonnie was born on November 14, 1931 in Glenrose, Texas to Bowden and Jesse (Adams) Sherrod. Bonnie worked as a hairdresser. She volunteered at her church, Southwest Baptist in the kitchen and bus ministry. Bonnie had a great sense of humor and would always have her family laughing. She and David, one of her grandsons, had their own saying they would say everytime he came to see her, “Breaker, Breaker, Bonnie would answer back, saying “coming in on I-40 in the fast lane." Bonnie loved being from Texas and the saying “You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the girl" fit Bonnie well. Bonnie who was known as “Nanny” adored her grandchildren and deeply loved her whole family. She is survived by her children, Kathy Smith and husband Kenny, Donna Fallis and husband Billy and Terry Jamison and wife Norma; grandchildren, David, Aimee, Jason, Jennifer, and Daniel; great grandchildren, Ashtan, Alaysha, Harley, Blaine, Tristan, Sawyer, and June. The family cannot thank Jennifer enough for all of the time she spent taking care of Bonnie. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Ralph Quarles; children, Nancy Jamison and Jerry Anderson; and 4 siblings. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM on Tuesday and 9-9 PM on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 23, 2018 at John Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, 120 S. Broadway Ave, Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
